Megan and Andrew’s guest book! Forgot about this one when we blogged their wedding but just wanted to share it now. I used some of their engagement pictures and transferred them to this lovely book we ordered from BHLDN. It was a great way to personalize the guest book and use some of that aged texture-y feel that went with the air of the wedding.

This wedding was pretty special to me as I watched Brooke grow up from a young age! It was so sweet to see her married to such a great and perfect guy for her… Ben! The wedding was very simple and understated that made their unique details stand out (my favorites the paper cranes and Brooke’s veil being passed down from her mom). It was all about lights and a casual celebration for this awesome couple who happened to meet at Apple where Ben worked (hence the Apple groom’s cake!). Another personal element to this wedding is that it took place in a white tent in my parent’s backyard! I loved everything about this day and am so happy for Brooke and Ben!

Photographing seniors is one of my favorite things to do. It’s such a sweet and pivotal time in their lives and I feel it is so rewarding to capture! Last year, Cat and I got to do a fun tea party shoot with a group of senior girls. So this fall I talked with my awesome cousin Sara and her mom, my aunt Susie (who I collaborate with on many crazy ideas), about doing a vintage-y picnic with some of her friends at their family lake house. Needless to say, we had to make it happen!
Susie and her good friend Ronne made all the wonderful treats of cupcakes stacked on cake platters and simple sandwiches wrapped in muslim and ribbon. Coke bottles and apples in wire locker baskets contributed to the day with some wonderful vintage fabrics. Sweet little flower arrangements using little berries from the near by trees finished it off!
I know we sound like broken records sometimes because we just love our clients and have the sweetest brides and grooms we get to work with. But I have to at least attempt to put into words how much I just love this couple.
Megan has been seen many times on the blog…..and in a few magazines! She is just one of those natural, beautiful, and awesome people you meet and want to be friends with. She also happens to be the sister of our very own Kate. So I guess she instantly won extra points because of that! And who would she marry besides an incredibly nice guy with similar qualities? Well, I wouldn’t call him “beautiful” because I don’t think he’d appreciate that very much :) But wow, they are quite the pair and so adorable together. They have that honest humor where you know they aren’t trying to be funny….but they still crack you up because they just aren’t worried about what other people think. I LOVE that about them. And they are so stinking genuine it’s ridiculous.
The wedding…..it was so perfect. I loved the way everything came together and it was so true to Megan’s style….and well, Kate’s too :)

Just a quick post about Kate’s photo shoot the past two days with Noonday Collection. I’m dying to see how it turned out (as well as the graphic design work she is doing for them)!
By the way, if you haven’t heard of Noonday, stop what you are doing and check it out. Now. We have several friends who are “ambassadors” through the company and it’s pretty stinkin’ cool.
A pic from Kate:
I just had to take a minute to brag about our talented Kate. She is not limited to just invitations, but can also do programs, stationary, save the dates…..you name it! And everything is custom designed. Some of my favorites:
I really like how pretty, simple, and natural her work is…..LOVE it actually.
Check out some more of her work here. And there is more to come (I know she has newer designs that haven’t even been photographed yet)!
