What a blessing it is to have my grandmother around.  She is the only grandparent still alive between my husband and me.  And it's cool that he has been able to "adopt" her as his own grandmother.

We love getting to see Gama and having our kids know her as well.  Travis LOVES playing at her house because of all the cool, old toys she has (that I played with and even my mom and aunts/uncle played with when they were little).  She has seen so much in her life and getting to hear the stories is very cool.

The other day I had Cyndea take a few pictures of us to frame for Hallie's room.  It was a little hectic and tough getting Hallie to look at the toy (and my mom to NOT look at the toy....haha, sorry mom....it was just too funny).  But I'm glad we could squeeze it in that day.....so worth it!

Sugar and Texas....two of my husband's loves in life.  Seriously.

What better way to spend Father's Day than with a drive through the scenic hill country ending at an amazing candy store?  I highly suggest you try it.  Sweet Comfort is the store (in Comfort, TX) and it rocks.  And somehow we always end up leaving there with a huge chunk of their chocolate.  The picture really doesn't do it justice.

And right now, as my husband is reading this, he's thinking "I hope she didn't eat any of my chocolate when she went in the box to take that picture".....

No, I didn't......thank you very much.  But I sure as heck debated that one for a good 20 minutes!

I met (Aunt) Hallie in line at Little League softball tryouts when we were nine.  We found out our birthdays were just 1 day apart....and when you're nine, you think that's really cool.  But we didn't really become good friends until 6th grade (after we first hated each other).  It's funny how things work when you're twelve.  We ended up being really close throughout the rest of middle school and have stayed friends ever since.   She is definitely my cool friend who has traveled all over the world and can speak multiple languages.  And she also loves my kids to the point of possibly kidnapping them.

It was a huge bummer when she moved away just days before baby Hallie was born.  But a few weeks ago we had a fun visit from her for a few days.  And of course I took some pictures of my two favorite Hallies finally together.

And even though Aunt Hallie and I are so different in so many ways :) I know our friendship will never change......especially now that I have cute kiddos she has to visit all the time.

And I'm hoping this post just might make her move back....
