In November, we (Kate and Cyndea) had the opportunity to go to Laguna Beach, California to attend an incredible workshop!  The workshop, Shoot This Not That, was put on by Summer Watkins with Grey Likes Weddings.  It was not only full of great teaching and information, but so much fun at the same time.  Summer definitely made the workshop enjoyable and SO worth our time.  Her easy-going, down to earth and hilarious personality made it awesome!  Kate and I loved everything about the workshop and came home feeling like we learned a ton and were very ready to put our new knowledge into action.  So now for a few pictures from our Styled Shoot that Summer and her team (Troy and Aimee Grover) put on…

Thanks again Summer Watkins for an awesome workshop!  Also a huge thank you to the incredible vendors that helped put everything on for us…

I spent last week in Dallas at the awesome Love Affair Workshop with a bunch of really cool photographers.  We learned from some of the best in the industry: Kelly Moore Clark, Millie Holloman, Lauren Clark, and Davina Fear.  And we got to hang out and have some good girl time as well.  My husband refers to my new friends as my “camp friends”…which is kinda what it was like.  But it was just so awesome to meet so many other like-minded photographers and build relationships that I know will last.  We even have a reunion planned already….so fun!

We also spent some time refining our photo skillz…..with a “z”.  I had a great group…Group 9 rocked!  And we were given a very fun couple to work with…Kari and Mark.  Doing a little more drama was so much fun and I really enjoyed working with these two.  I loved hearing that Mark spent 5 minutes wandering around the room trying to find his wife because her hair and make-up made her unrecognizable.  Seriously, she looks sooo different in real life.  I couldn’t believe it.

Anyway, so these are a few favorites from our shoot with Kari and Mark…
