Cyndea and I shot Melissa & Chris’ wedding on a cold, wet day last December.  But the weather couldn’t keep anyone down.  The day was full of fun friends and a sweet ceremony….and a reception dance floor that no one could resist!  From the pretty flowers to the candlelit tables, it was a romantic night of good food, fellowship, and awesome dancing!

We had so much fun photographing Sarah and Zach’s big day! The couple, the wedding party, venue, etc. were perfect. Sarah was easily one of the most chilled and laid-back brides ever! We had a great time hanging out and capturing all of the preparations and moments before they got to finally see each other inside the church. The two of them were clearly so excited and ready to be married and celebrate with their friends and family.
They got married at The First United Methodist Church in Austin and had their reception at the Salt Lick Pavilion in Driftwood. The reception was complete with great food and lots of fun dancing! It was beautiful and festive and everything seemed to go on without a hitch. Through hearing the toasts and kind words from their friends and family, you got a great sense of how special and truly awesome these two are. They are definitely loved! It was so fun to see everyone celebrate these two and share in their special day.

What made this weekend so great was not the events that took place or the fun that was had….but the couple we were celebrating.  These two are awesome.  Faith has such a kind and loving heart.  She was constantly checking on and encouraging us throughout the day.  Maybe it was because 2 out of 3 of us were hugely pregnant! :)  But seriously, she really is just one of those incredibly sweet people who is beautiful inside and out.  Then there is Blake, the super-stud (and I hope I embarrassed him with that).  He is not only handsome, but a true gentleman.  Every time I’m around him I watch him serve others with some of the best manners I’ve seen.  And most importantly, you can tell he is completely in love with his bride.

Here are a million pictures from a beautiful wedding day with some of the sweetest people I know.  The whole weekend was memorable and fun, not just for guests, but for us as well.  We worked with some of the greatest vendors and had a gorgeous reception to photograph.  And one of our favorite bands was there…..Ice House rocks!  What a wonderful wedding weekend to be a part of!

This wedding was pretty special to me as I watched Brooke grow up from a young age! It was so sweet to see her married to such a great and perfect guy for her… Ben! The wedding was very simple and understated that made their unique details stand out (my favorites the paper cranes and Brooke’s veil being passed down from her mom). It was all about lights and a casual celebration for this awesome couple who happened to meet at Apple where Ben worked (hence the Apple groom’s cake!). Another personal element to this wedding is that it took place in a white tent in my parent’s backyard! I loved everything about this day and am so happy for Brooke and Ben!

We had some great weddings last year….great clients, cool venues, and fun bands!  So we decided to pick some favorites to share just for fun.  They were picked for different reasons….color, cool detail, down right beauty! or just a memorable moment.  And now we want to know which is YOUR favorite…

So VOTE on your favorite of our favorites in the comment section.  The client will win a little something special, of course.  But really, pick the one you love the most……even if you don’t know the people!  (note: the number ABOVE the photo goes with it)

These last two fit into the “memorable moments” category.

And now I think I may need to find myself some new photographers since Cyndea and Kate may never speak to me again!  :)

Voting ends Thursday!

It was a perfect, sunny day in Austin.  Michelle looked GORGEOUS, and the setting was just right for an outdoor wedding.  The sweet ceremony  was filled with happy tears and laughter….my favorites at every wedding.  I love seeing the shots Cyndea and Kate took of David’s face as Michelle came down the aisle….pure love.  I bet he will never forget that moment!

The fun dancing and good music, combined with pretty flowers and details made for a cool reception.  But I’ll let the photos show off Michelle’s hard work put into making their wedding reflect her style.
