It’s that time of year again, so we are re-posting a favorite:
Anyone who knows San Antonio, has heard of Fiesta. It’s 11 days of celebration in honor of Texas’ Independence. There are parades, parties, and cascarones galore. And the food is awesome. It is a REALLY fun time of year to live in this city!
Since this is one of the most anticipated series of events all year (that we LOVE….have I mentioned that?), we decided to do a Fiesta-inspired shoot.
Check out these fun colors and festive decor to kick of the first day of Fiesta. We hope all you San Antonians enjoy this next week! Viva!
Venue: Lost Mission
Invitations/place cards: Kate Stafford
Styling: Sarah Halbach
Dress: custom design by Angelina Mata
We pulled together a spring styled shoot with a friend’s BABY goat (dream come true), an invitation by HMF + Design and Cat’s cute girls. Happy Easter everyone!
Happy Valentine’s Day!! Here is a super easy recipe for some cookies I’ve been making for years. I snagged this from Paula Dean (we love butter) and tweaked it a little. Here is the recipe but, be sure to double up on almond extract instead of using vanilla and make them teeny tiny (bite-sized, addictive, and seals in the moisture). I only cook these for 6-8 minutes! Just check to make sure the dough isn’t “shiny” (technical cooking term I made up) on the top and then take them out! Iced or not… these cookies are the best. Thanks to Marisa and Hallie for making them :).
Because my sister was in town… and I love glitter, feathers and and New Year’s Eve… we just had to right? Happy New Year everyone!
So this little shoot came out of a country road find one weekend when I was outside of New Braunfels. I fell in love with this beautiful cotton field and the idea of a bride in it. Before the cotton was harvested I pulled together a few creative friends to style, make an invitation set and create a woodsy bridal bouquet. I loved the country feel and how the field just makes you feel dreamy and nostalgic, so of course I hunted for vintage dresses in my grandmother’s… Mimi’s :)… closet. Special thanks to The Color Yellow Co., HMF + Design, and Claire Zinnecker (our model)!
Alli & Stephen (or well, maybe just Alli….but Stephen is a great sport) wanted to hire Sarah to do a styled shoot for their engagement session. Yes, please. It’s sort of a “bohemian girl meets city boy” shoot…
Summer is coming to an end, sadly. Some schools have already started and people are finishing up their end of the summer activities. We want to say goodbye to summer with a fun Styled Shoot at the pool. What says summer days more than an afternoon at the pool soaking in that sun. Thanks to the lovely Faith and Blake Stouffer for being our awesome models. The very talented Sarah Halbach styled this shoot with her creative design ideas and fun props. As sad as it is that summer is almost over, the great thing about Texas is that you can enjoy the “pool weather” for much longer :).
