This just about sums up our newest little munchkin.  Lots of snoozing and cute little lips.

Things are moving a bit slow around here….but we’ll back in soon!

7 pounds, 3 ounces

19.75 inches

We are overwhelmed with joy….and totally surprised by another GIRL!  Here’s just a peek from what I took on my camera….couldn’t resist.  More from Cyndea coming soon.

Well, if you’re reading this I must have gone to the hospital to have this baby I’ve been carrying around for 9 months now.  What an exciting day it will be to welcome a new life into this world.  Exciting and terrifying….thinking here is another person we are responsible for!  But really way more exciting than anything else.

What a gift this child is no matter what.  Whether “it” (as we have unfortunately have been referring to our child as….sorry kid) is a boy or a girl, “healthy” or “non-typical”, an eating/sleeping champ or colicky little stinker……no matter what these next few days/weeks/months/years may bring, we are incredibly blessed by this little life already.  And of course we CANNOT WAIT to introduce him/her to y’all soon!

11.04.11

It’s Friday and I have nothing prepared for the blog since I’ve been focusing on editing like crazy while Cyndea and Kate have spent the past few days at a workshop in California (more on that later).  I decided we better document this baby with a photo or two (I’ve taken NONE this pregnancy…oops).  And since my mind has been filled with all things baby the past few days, let’s have a little contest related to baby #3.

Cyndea and I both don’t find out what we’re having when we’re pregnant.  So we like to have everyone guess gender, weight, and length when the delivery day comes around.  It’s always fun to see what everyone guesses (& why) and then see who wins.  I’m pretty sure with Cyndea’s last baby our dad guessed the stats of the trout he had just caught (or something like that)…typical :)

So here we go.  To enter, comment below with your guess (and don’t forget to include all three parts to your guess…..boy/girl, weight, & length).  The person with the closest guess wins a Target gift card…..because Target is my happy place and I know many of you would say the same thing!   (ps….anyone can enter no matter where you live)

Time is up when this baby arrives….and supposedly that could be any day, so don’t wait!  We hope everyone has a great weekend, and maybe, just maybe we’ll have someone for you to meet by next week!

I feel like I’m racing a clock with this baby being the ticking bomb.  To say I’ve been in overdrive would be an understatement.  I’m so ready for no more late nights.  Wait…..I think I still have a ton of those in my near future :)

And sorry for the lack of posts.  Just. No. Time!

But hopefully next week we’ll be back in action around here and “fully” moved in (whatever that means).  I just hope to have some more boxes out before I bring a baby home from the hospital!

Our new office progress so far…

Hope everyone has a great finish to the week and an even better weekend!

Big news for my little family……we are moving.  Again, no joke.  But just a few miles from here and into a permanent place of our own.  So this also means a new office for Peacock Photography….woohoo!

So with about 4 weeks until D-day, I’m going full speed until either this baby comes out or I collapse (not really…I hope).  To say we have a little “project” on our hands would be the understatement of the year.  We started working on the house this past weekend and have put in quite a lot of hours painting to get ready for the move in a couple weeks.  It has been a little insane, but a ton of fun staying up until crazy hours with Dave, listening to music and painting like mad.  Our “date nights” have definitely been memorable already and I’m so thankful to have such a great partner in this adventure.  I know I’m a little crazy and a little over-ambitious with some of my plans….but so far so good.  Let’s just hope all this activity doesn’t put me into labor anytime soon!

I would love to share more of the “before” photos of the rest of the house, but I can’t bring myself to share them until I have the “after” ready.  Some are just too painful at this stage to share :)  But I will give a peek of our new office space.  The paisley wallpaper won’t stay, don’t worry.  After about five minutes in there you will get a headache just from looking at it.  And the pink living room in the background is already a nice gray.  Because who in the WORLD wants a pink living room???

Once we get these floors refinished and furniture moved in, I’ll share the final product.  Right now it’s time to get back to some major catching up for clients on my afternoon off from the general contractor job (more on THAT adventure later).

I’m still recovering from a LONG weekend.  No, I did not run a marathon at 34 weeks pregnant, but I sure feel like I did!  A rehearsal dinner & wedding in Houston Friday and Saturday, and then another wedding in Austin on Sunday = a ton of shooting (and a ton of time on my feet).  I’m incredibly thankful for Cyndea driving me around all weekend and for Kate coming to help on Sunday when I was exhausted.  Having the two of them take over the wedding and finish strong without me was a HUGE gift to me.  Seeing them both stepping up and taking care of things without me even realizing it needed to be done was so great.  I’m wondering if they might just completely take over the business and kick me out now :)

I also have to give a special shout out to Dave and Shane for managing all the kids for a long weekend.  Dave is my hero and has blown me away with his servant’s heart and amazing attitude when hit with obstacle after obstacle lately.  I have a lot to learn from him sometimes.

And since every post is better with some photos, here are some iPhone shots from our weekend (amazing quality, I know).  We enjoyed some good roadtrip food, hit up my favorite taco spot in Austin, took advantage of the hotel’s blackout curtains and slept late, and then sadly saw the aftermath of the fires in Bastrop.  That part was not fun.

Now I’m hoping to get back into the swing of things and get some pretty pictures up on the blog again!  A fun photo shoot by Kate coming tomorrow, and then lots of sneak peeks and recent work after that…..stayed tuned.

09.26.11

We spent this past weekend in the land of no internet = the ranch.  It was blazing hot, but we had a blast…..well, until even the parents were having meltdowns.  It was my last “free” weekend before the craziness hits, so I didn’t even open up my laptop.  I actually took a nap while the kids napped on Saturday, and I even slept in a little on Sunday.  Amazing.

I’ll get back to regular blogging soon, but I just wanted to share a few cute and funny pictures from our weekend.  Cyndea’s kids even get some face time on here for once…

09.23.11

So lately I’ve been feeling guilty that I haven’t had time for the blog.  I manage to keep up with the work for clients (just barely), but can’t seem to make time for posting stuff.  But then I keep reminding myself that it’s just a blog and it’s really not a big deal.  I hate inconsistency, but I hate being over-tired and cranky even more.  Plus it’s not fair to anyone else around me.  I mean, being pregnant can make me cranky enough as it is :)  So I’ve decided it’s ok to miss a day or two….or even three, if that’s what it takes to keep my life balanced.

This belly is growing like crazy lately and sticks out so far that it really looks a little unnatural.  I just wish I could convince this baby to spread out around the sides a little and give me a break!  A side shot would be much more effective in describing the funny torpedo shape, but that would involve taking a picture of myself (which I really hate doing).  Instead y’all can laugh at my wide feet.  No, they are not swollen….just normally a little on the chubby side.  When I was a baby, the doctor commented that my feet were very “healthy” and square (as wide as they were long).  Thanks, Mom :)

And this next one is what it actually looks like when I look down (the first shot I was leaning WAY forward, taking the picture over my belly).  I haven’t seen my feet by looking straight down in a long time.  This is what I normally see…

Now with only 7 weeks to go, I’m looking forward to my last weekend to “play”.  After this it will be the busiest ending of any of my pregnancies.  Even though no one will say it, I’m pretty sure our family and friends think Dave and I are nuts with all we’re trying to do before this baby arrives.  But hey, what’s wrong with a little crazy?

So just bear with us over the next few months as we go through even more transitions.  And get ready for some new weddings up on the blog shot by Cyndea and Kate.  I can’t even express how excited I am that they are both growing so much in the business and taking on their own weddings.  How cool is that?!

Hope y’all have a great weekend!

09.20.11

In honor of my 29th birthday, I’ve decided to make it a tradition to make fun of myself on my birthday.  I don’t mind it for a good laugh and the chance to brighten someone else’s day.  And if you missed last year’s post on my birthday, check that out!  It will surely make you laugh…..or at least feel better about yourself if you’ve ever done something just plain dumb :)

So this was me in preschool (a closeup of the class picture).  I hated photographers and I hated cameras.  Kinda funny now.

Hope y’all have a great Tuesday!
