Here are my favorite shots from the Noonday Collection Spring shoot! Beautiful products from all over the world and such a serene spot for the shoot. Learn more about Noonday here and see the full Spring look book.
Maddie’s senior shoot was so much fun! We went around Austin to a few of our favorite spots! Maddie is a too cute track runner and going to University of Arkansas next year! I’m so impressed every time I hear of seniors going out of state for college because I wasn’t so brave to even leave my hometown :). Austin is a pretty hard place to leave though we found as we went to a couple of food trailers and walked around downtown. I love Maddie’s curls and pretty speckled brown green eyes!
On Friday I went to the Warrenton Antique Show with my friend Hannah… if you don’t know what it is or you haven’t been, you are kidding yourself. Talk about acres and acres of anything old and cute you would ever want. Add kettle corn, BBQ, women in ridiculous outfits and vintage ribbon galore. Here are some pictures of the gorgeous bluebonnets we saw on our way home! Plus Hannah had on her God bless Texas shorts so she had to make an appearance in some of the photos. Who wouldn’t want to run around in this field?? Seriously. Get outside… this spring is beautiful!!
So Kate came over one day (over from Austin…she’s a good friend), and she took pictures of me and my little girls. It was nothing fancy or over-planned, just us hanging out. We wore our favorite comfy clothes and played on the front porch and in the grass that probably needed to be mowed. It was perfectly imperfect.
I painted Hallie’s fingers and toes, we twirled, and we blew bubbles…..Hallie’s top 3 favorite things EVER at age 2. I love her sweet heart and sheer joy with the littlest of things. She is playful and shy all at the same time. Her silly faces and killer laugh can entertain me for hours. Dave and I tell “Hallie” stories almost every night. She is an amazing little thing.
Seely……well, she’s just as cute as can be at only a few months old. She doesn’t “do” much….but her smile is more than enough. And her little laugh is always the highlight of my day. If someone could bottle up that goodness, it would be worth a fortune!
Thank you, Kate, for the pictures of my girls. They capture this stage of our lives so well.
In January I had the wonderful opportunity to travel with Noonday Collection to Guatemala to photograph some of the artisans that they work with. Learn more about Noonday Collection here!
We started in Antigua where the first photos are taken and then traveled to smaller villages to work with two different groups of scarf weavers on designs for both the spring and fall lines of Noonday. It was such an honor to capture stories of these beautiful women and how they work so hard to provide for their families. I made friends especially with three of the little girls from the first group :).
OH. And I got to go to a place where they grow/harvest coffee. Seriously?? I think that I am even more in love with coffee after seeing the pretty shades of cream and brown and grey that the beans turn in the drying process. As well as how they hand pick the good out of the bad beans for roasting.
All in all, it was so cool to see how women are women wherever you are… how beauty and craft and hard work and love for family are a heartbeat behind what we do no matter what language you speak. I think I might just have to go back…
Megan and Andrew’s guest book! Forgot about this one when we blogged their wedding but just wanted to share it now. I used some of their engagement pictures and transferred them to this lovely book we ordered from BHLDN. It was a great way to personalize the guest book and use some of that aged texture-y feel that went with the air of the wedding.
