Happy Anniversary (a few days late) to Courtney & Keith!  It was a BEA-UTIFUL wedding last year at the Argyle.  Seriously, gorgeous.  And the couple wasn’t too bad themselves :)

I say that as somewhat of a joke.  I’m known as a plant-killer.  I even kill cacti.

Maybe its the new house and all the plants we’ve aquired with it…..or maybe this is just some phase.  But I am OBSESSED with plants and gardening right now.  I realize I’ve only really planted some flowers in pots, but that is actually a big step for me.  My old method was buy a plant and stick the whole plastic container right inside my nice pot on the front porch.  Why bother actually planting the flowers in the pot when they’re going to die soon anyway, right?  They never lasted too long.  So I would go buy more and repeat the easy process whenever they died from thirst (the usual reason).  I’ve never had much confidence in my gardening skills (well, really still don’t) but now I at least have motivation.  Our house has so many flower beds and different areas to do so many cool things with plants (and even typing that makes me wonder “who am I?”).  I’m just hoping I can transform my plant-killing tendencies into plant-growing skills to make good use of them.  We’ll see.

For now I’m enjoying my new blooms every day.  These are just some of my favorites…

This little nugget of cuteness is my newest nephew, Gray.  He has the most incredible dimples (but are tough to capture at this age) and the biggest feet I’ve ever seen on a newborn!  I’m guessing he will be tall like his daddy.

He’s a pretty adorable addition to Cyndea’s family of all boys.

So Kate came over one day (over from Austin…she’s a good friend), and she took pictures of me and my little girls.  It was nothing fancy or over-planned, just us hanging out.  We wore our favorite comfy clothes and played on the front porch and in the grass that probably needed to be mowed.  It was perfectly imperfect.

I painted Hallie’s fingers and toes, we twirled, and we blew bubbles…..Hallie’s top 3 favorite things EVER at age 2.  I love her sweet heart and sheer joy with the littlest of things.  She is playful and shy all at the same time.  Her silly faces and killer laugh can entertain me for hours.  Dave and I tell “Hallie” stories almost every night.  She is an amazing little thing.

Seely……well, she’s just as cute as can be at only a few months old.  She doesn’t “do” much….but her smile is more than enough.  And her little laugh is always the highlight of my day.  If someone could bottle up that goodness, it would be worth a fortune!

Emilie & Matt met in 2nd grade….how cute is that?  Of course they didn’t start dating until after college, but still…adorable.  I loved our time together getting to know them as a couple.  And I’m so looking forward to their wedding this summer.  Emilie will be a beautiful bride!

I spent some time with my newest nephew yesterday (Cyndea’s 3rd boy).  He’s pretty adorable.

And now I have “Stayin’ Alive” stuck in my head.  You’re welcome.
