This wedding day was HOT. And I mean, REALLY hot.
I don’t think I’ve ever seen a bride who could pull off such classic beauty in that kind of heat. Erin was a beautiful bride.
A few words from Erin….
Describe your wedding flowers and the colors you chose….and why. I chose sunflowers as they’ve always been my favorite and I chose cobalt blue for the girls because I’ve always loved the French country look of sunflowers and blues.
What were your favorite details? Having the ring bearer pillows were made out of one of my late brother’s favorite shirts and kept him on the forefront of my mind for this special day and having all of our family member’s wedding photos on display was a great way to incorporate both families into our day and décor.
What part of your wedding was DIY? My mother, sister, and sister’s friends did all of the décor including centerpieces, altar, aisle, and stage. Seeing all of their creative interpretations on my vision come to life as Thomas and I entered the ceremony and dancehall for the first time was amazing.
Did you have any traditions or special events that were a part of your wedding? We did an “anniversary” dance to honor all the married couples who were present and it resulted in my paternal grandparents, Bob Sr. and Frances Lee being the last couple standing for their 59-year marriage.
What song did you choose for the first dance? Fishing in the Dark by The Nitty Gritty Band Was it meaningful or just a favorite? Thomas first emailed the lyrics to me as a love note one Saturday when we both went into the office to work over the weekend.
What was the funniest moment of your wedding day? The “soul train” style dancing at the end of the reception and Thomas’ friend Carl performing his rendition of Michael Jackson’s “Beat It” dance.
What do you look forward to the most about marriage? Sharing the rest of our lives and all the new experiences that encompasses with a friend.

Wow, what a beautiful wedding! I love the location & the sunflowers & blue!
