We decided to change things up a bit from our usual styled shoots…….why not use kids??  Even better, our own kids!  Better or maybe crazier?  Either way, it was a blast.

With the 4th of July tomorrow, we wanted to do a summery shoot with a patriotic feel.  We spent a warm Summer evening in the backyard with fresh fruit and popsicles and plenty of backyard toys.  Our patriotic colors were carried throughout the food, drinks, and setting.  We used a vintage Coca Cola icebox, tons of old books, and a few Radio Flyer wagons and tricycles.  Even the ice cubes had red & blue fruit in them (those were my favorite).

Our delicious assortment of food and drinks were a big hit, even if only the kids were able to enjoy them.  I just wish every summer evening looked like this…
